what the card says to us

The picture on the card is incredibly creepy. A young woman is holding a very large baby over the sea, having waded in some distance, and there is a caption of "Don't Be Afraid". The child has every right to be afraid.

Otherwise there are no clues as to why Juliette is in Ealing or what her connection to Adele Dalmas is except for a shared liking of disturbing cards. Mind you, 1903 is a long time ago and as they say, the past is another country and they do things differently there.
