Minnie Elizabeth Werrell (1883-1941) was the daughter of William Werrell (1844-1917) and Elizabeth Rabbetts (1848-1897). William was a gardener.

Minnie didn't marry and in 1911 she was living with her widowed father. In 1939 she was living in a Public Assistance Institution aka Workhouse in Newbury and is listed as "incapacitated". She dies two years later.

the recipient

Mary Ann Neate (1847-1909) was born Mary Anne Werrell, the daughter of Richard Werrell (1795-1870) and Fanny Reason (1808-1885). Richard was an agricultural labourer.

Mary was married twice. In 1877, aged 30, she married George Lewendon (1849-1886) who was a general labourer. After George's death, Mary, aged 43, married Charles Neate (1845-1903) in 1890. Charles was a shoemaker and had 5 children from a previous marriage to Annie Simmonds (1847-1882).

what the card says to us

The picture shows St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_George%27s_Chapel,_Windsor_Castle), which is in Berkshire where this card was sent and received.

The message is about a journey from Frilsham to Reading via Yattendon. Presumably this journey was made by train and there seem to be some concerns over the quality of the service.

Within the writing, punctuation seems to be at a premium with sentences running into each other and a lack of capital letters. Minnie Werrell comes from a humble background.

There are a couple of mentions of someone called "Mrs F" but there are no clues to who that is or what the relationship to the Werrell family.
