the recipients
There are three recipients as the card is addressed to "The Misses Jordan".
Elizabeth Hall Jordan (1852-1928), Mary Louisa Jordan (1853-1946) and Harriet Ada Jordan (1862-1941) were the daughters of Michael Jordan (1827-1864) and Mary Darling (1819-1893). Michael was a boat builder. He died aged only 37 leaving Mary with five children as they also had two sons William Darling Jordan (1856-1926) and Alfred (1858-1942). In 1861, prior to the death of Michael, the family was living with Mary's mother Elizabeth Darling (1780- 1862) who was listed as a proprietor of houses. After Michael's death, the children continued to live with Mary, she was living on her own means, until her death. In 1891, William Darling was a decorator, Alfred was a bank cashier, and Mary Louisa was a fancy goods dealer. The other two girls did not appear to work.
In 1905, William Darling Jordan married Sarah Hannah Ebbet (1866-1943) and in 1911 he was no longer living with his siblings.
In 1911, the four remaining children were living together at the address on the card with a servant. Alfred by this time is a bank accountant. The girls are living on their own means. None of them marry. They all die in Hull.

what the card says to us
The picture shows some highland cattle on a cliff top. It is entitled "Stillness Of Evening" but it is unclear why. There is a signature in the bottom left hand corner of the painting but it is not legible. It is unlikely that the location is Hull.
Thecard is pre-printed with a Christmas and New Year message. There does not seem to be anything festive about the picture.
The other point to note that it is sent to three people. It seems that Ida has put the minimum of effort into this card.
