Thanks very much for PC received. am so glad to hear you are having a rare (?) jolly time. As to myself, I am just having a ripping time. weather fine.
With kind regards from
Arthur S Thorp"
the sender
The signature of the sender looks like Arthur S Thorp. If that is the case then the records are not very helpful. In the 1901 census, 5 years before this card was sent there is a candidate, living in Paddington which is an area of London associated with the Hartnall family. However he is only 4 years old and so would be 9 when the card was sent. This does not look like the work of a 9 year old. And Thorpe in the census is spelt with an "e" on the end. There are no other clues.

what the card says to us
The picture shows the Oval Bandstand in Margate which has an interesting history that you can read about here https://www.facebook.com/MargateHistory/photos/a.193237000711532.38094.192776400757592/416334285068468
Otherwise the card tells us that Daisy was in Somerset in August 1906 and Arthur was in Margate. They were probably both on holiday or staying with family or friends. Somerset crops up elsewhere amongst the Hartnall cards.
