The card says very little.

The picture is of St Nicholas Cathedral in Newcastle which is local to where it was posted. The picture is initialled in the top right corner by Frances Mantz.

The card was sent just a week after one sent to Frances that records her journey to Newcastle. It is as if this card was sent to say "I am here, safe and sound in Newcastle". It does not give a return address, perhaps Walter already has that.

There is no clue as to why Walter is in Bruges. It is August and perhaps it is a holiday. The Hotel Café Belge does not appear to exist today.
