Ivy Peacock (1892-1984) was the daughter of Alfred Peacock (1862-1945) and Mary Jane Bainbridge (1863-1925). Alfred was a joiner by trade and worked in a colliery.
Ivy was a draper's assistant in 1911 and in 1939 she was the manager of the millinery department of the Co-Operative Society in Crook, Durham and living with her widowed father and her sister Catherine Annie Peacock (1899-1998). Ivy did not marry and died in 1984 in Crook, Durham.

what the card says to us
The picture shows the North Shore at Blackpool which is where the card was posted.
Whoever P Brown was, they appear to be having a great time in Blackpool. Presumably they are on holiday and have written the card in a hurry. There are a few missing words.
Interesting that the card was sent c/o Ivy's father Alfred. Ivy was 16 years old when the card was sent.
