The Sender
Mary McCarthy nee Andrews (1848-1927) was Daisy's aunt, her mother's sister. She was married to Cornelius McCarthy (1844-1906) in 1869 but by the time this card was sent she was already a widow. They had no children.

What the card says to us
The picture on the card is of a scene in County Cork and there is no apparent connection to the family.
The address that it was sent to suggests that Daisy was on holiday by the sea at Agnes Villa which sounds very grand but does not seem to exist any more. This is odd because usually the card is sent by the holiday maker. It also suggests that it is not just Daisy. Daisy's mother used to be in service with a Mrs Hart and this may the person referred to as living near Hadleigh. There are no clues as to who the girl who has gone to Southend might be.
