what the card says to us
The picture shows Rye Church and is remarkably similar to the picture on the card that can be found at the end of this link
They are two years apart and not the same. The picture is crooked on the card.
The message is about a fishing trip, possibly a holiday. There are no clues as to Jack's identity except that he seems to be a good angler. There is also no indication as to who has gone on the trip and who has stayed at home besides Alfred and his daughter Dorothy.
