the message
“Dear Walt
Jersey is quite all right and I think you would have liked a holiday here very much. The island is surrounded by pretty bays you feel you would like to take them home with you. Each one is a picture & I have got some watercolour reproductions by Wimbush that you will be able to transplant. By the way how’s Frances. Getting brown as berries.
????”

What the card says to us
The picture shows a view of St Aubin, Jersey (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Aubin%2C_Jersey). The card was sent from Jersey.
It is a classic “wish you were here” card. The Sender is not known. It is quite a good advertisement for Jersey in 1909 and the artist Henry Bowser Wimbush (1858-1943). Close inspection is needed to make sure that the sender has written “bays” and not “boys” as this would give the card a completely different complexion.
