Frank Scutcher (1885-1968) was the son of Robert John Scutcher (1845-1933) and Elizabeth Simpson (1848-1918). Robert worked for the Great Eastern Railway.
Frank worked as a porter in a drapery warehouse and later, in 1939, was an aircraft labourer. In 1917 he married Alice I Swan (1892-1959) who was a caretaker in 1939.

Beatrice Hammond nee Scutcher (1878-1930) was the elder sister of Frank Scutcher. In 1907 she married Spencer Heber Hammond (1868-1923). Spencer was a plumber and house decorator.
