Ada Mary Wrathall nee Dennison (1879-1933) was the daughter of John Dennison (1852-?) and Elizabeth Hewitson (1849-?). John was a Black and White Smith.
In 1912 Ada married John Wrathall (1882-1953), a farmer and the son of James Wrathall (1850-1931) and Emily Bargh Dickenson (1850-1923), who is the recipient of the card.

what the card says to us
The picture is untitled. It shows a young woman and this is one of a number of portraits on cards sent to members of the Wrathall family.
Ada addresses her mother-in-law as "Ma". "Quite safe" is an interesting phrase implying that it was not entirely safe.
It is not clear why Ada has travelled to Burneside, perhaps for a holiday. The family appears very centred around Lancaster.
