Violet Annie Whayman nee Moss (1900-1982) was the daughter of Frederick Henry Moss (1867-1960) and Hannah Emma Garrod (1866-1942). Frederick was a carpenter by trade.

In April-July 1926 Violet married George Francis Whayman (1899-1937).

George was the younger brother of the recipient of the card. It is not known what George’s occupation was.
