what the card says to us

This is a birthday postcard. More specifically it is a birthday card for a sister.

It is addressed to Mrs J H Heald rather than using Ethel’s name, even though by this time she is a widow.

It is signed Sis.

The major learning from this card is that the family members, not just the sisters, stayed close by, often in the same street. This was a tight family.
