the message
"Dear Flo
How do you like this card. I am returning on Wed some time. Come up in the eve & see me if you can. Peter has been here since Sat so it has made it lively for us after the boys went away. It was very cold yesterday but much nicer today.
Much love from
???"
the sender
The sender's signature is not clear. It could be Jen. There are some clues i.e. the mention of Peter and the boys, but identification has not been successful.

what the card says to us
The picture is entitled "A Summer Day" but it looks a bit gloomy. On the reverse is printed "Calm Seas".
The sender is on holiday in Deal and has sent a card back home to Godalming. I was cold in Deal on September 10th 1906.
That is about all this card can tell us without knowing who sent it.
