The Message
"My own darling Lance. Thank you so much for your lovely card this morning, so pleased to hear you are going along nicely still as I am myself dear. Our promise is "Thou Shalt be like a watered garden and like a spring of water". ????? gets worse now. But the weather is simply lovely dear. I don't say now only one more day and then Sunday dear I don't look forward to them, but I am not miserable dear. Goodbye Lance darling with all my truest love and kisses from your own little girl."

What the card says to us
This is the second of four postcards, all posted in September 1907. As a trio they are discussed in the commentary that accompanies the first which can be found at the link at the bottom of the page.
When compared with the other two cards this one has the obvious big difference in that it was sent to Thomas Lance in Exeter. It was sent 25 days after the first and only 2 days before the second which resumes the destination of Watford, albeit to a different address. For a hairdresser, Thomas Lance seems to get about quite a bit. There is no clue as to what business might have taken him to Devon.
The three other cards in the series can be found here.
