As Fit As A Fiddle

March 6, 2020

This card was sent from Margate in 1920 by Doris Fowler to her father Charles in Shepherds Bush. She felt as fit as a fiddle.

All Friends Conference London 1920

December 16, 2017

This card was initially very challenging because the surname looks like both Oakes and Baker. It turned out to be Oakes with the biggest clue being the marriage of Edwin Cyril Oakes in Cardiff in 1919.

There are a lot that connects the Quakers to this card, not least the source and the picture.
