October 1, 2018

This 1905 card informs a young man’s mother that he has arrived safely at his brother’s and they are gong to the pub. And the story behind the card shows how names and spellings can change over time when conveyed by word of mouth.

Who was Jack Hull?

August 10, 2018

This card was sent in 1906 to Alfred Fabb. It is an apology for the sender not turning up, possibly for a night out. Someone has written the name Jack Hull on the front of the card. Who was Jack Hull and whrn was his name added?
