This card from 1912 was sent from Poplar to Grays by someone who was very keen on Betsy Merchant. She didn’t marry him though. Did he go to war and not come back? We’ll probably never know.
This card was sent in late December 1912 and although there is a Christmassy look to it, it is actually someone asking their mother for a lift from the station.
This card was first posted on September 8th 1912 near Tal-y-Bont. It went to Harrow-On-The-Hill. The following day it was re-addressed and sent to Bredfield. The following day it was re-addressed again and posted to Bridlington.
