This 1911 birthday card proved a bit confusing to research because the sender signed it "mother" when she was in fact the recipient's mother-in-law. The recipient's actual mother had died 3 years earlier.
Information provided by another, soon to be added card, has allowed the previously untraced MIss Wrathall from this card to be identified as Jane Wrathall (1890-1978)
This is the ninth card in the Cruttenden Collection. It is a curiosity because it is unsigned but has a clear message to the Cruttenden family. But what was the Sunday League in 1910.
Unfortunately it has not been possible to precisely identify the recipient of this hideous birthday card from 1916 even though it is very similar, and is connected to the same family as a previous card, also from 1916.
This card from 1909 is included in the Cruttenden Collection because of the address. Sadly the surname of the recipient has been obliterated by the postmark.
